Monticello Wine Trail

In 1774, Thomas Jefferson and Italian Filippo Mazzei established vineyards on land adjoining Monticello – the site of present day Jefferson Vineyards, Virginia’s premiere small production winery. We bottle award-winning Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Our blockbuster limited production wines include Estate Reserve and Virginia’s first Petit Verdot. Bring a picnic lunch (Brix Marketplace is just around the corner) and relax on the deck among the mountains, vineyards and horses.
